A School of Hope
By Gisella A. Tabios
There are several outstanding schools in Catanduanes but I believe that Catanduanes National High School outshines them all. Although it is a public school, it is home to many excellent students and alumni.
The first time I ever stepped inside our school, I felt different -- I was nervous and excited at the same time. How could I not be? CNHS has a huge student population. I knew competition will be tough.
But eventually, my anxiety was replaced with excitement because of the new and exciting experiences I’ve had in CNHS. Because of the various student activities and organizations, I felt that I belong and I was able to develop my social, mental, emotional, and physical well being.
Our teachers are also very friendly and approachable. They work hard to help every student learn. They even share their personal insights about everyday life. Because of the teachers’ training, students are well-disciplined, competitive, and are able to adapt to the ever changing world.
Turning weaknesses into strengths
By Mark Johnson Idanan
Our school’s mission is to develop the abilities of students. It is able to do this by helping us discover ourr hidden talents, by teaching us how to be resourceful, and by helping us make the best out of what they have.
Because of our financial difficulties, sometimes we cannot afford to buy materials for our class projects. We do not let this dishearten us. Instead, we do our best to make use of the things around us. We exert extra effort in everything we do so we can turn ordinary materials into extraordinary projects.
Our school teaches us to never give up and to always broaden our knowledge, our skills, and our reach. CNHS students prepare well for competitions and make sure that they always bring pride to the school. We may not show our weaknesses, but those weaknesses challenge us to reach our goals.
Proud to be in CNHS
By Jether Don Tablizo
I believe that the Catanduanes National High School is one of the most outstanding secondary schools in the country. It is truly deserving of the achievements and awards it has gained through the years.
Our school provides opportunities to those students who dream of making it to the top someday. It develops students’ talents and helps them reach their goals and dreams. CNHS makes every student’s high school experience an unforgettable one. My school inspires me to be the best that I can be, to aim high, and to turn my dreams into reality. I am very proud to be part of CNHS.
CNHS, A Good Image
By Ruth A. Velasco
With more than 3,000 enrollees, Catanduanes National High School has the biggest student population in the province. Difficult to handle, you say? The CNHS administration shows otherwise.
The CNHS administration is very efficient and competent and can manage the large number of students. Our teachers are well-trained and give attention to each student. They give every student an opportunity to show his/her talents. Our teachers guide their students and everyone is encouraged to join various competitions which will further enhance our skills.
Because of the collective efforts of the school administration, teachers, and students, the school excels not only in academics but in governance as well. The good image of CNHS is a reflection of the values and talents of its teachers and students.

CNHS prepare the youth for college education and for a brighter future. CNHS students learn early on how to be competitive and how to cope with the challenges of a global country.
As a knowledge resource center, CNHS is geared towards excellence – excellence achieved by rearing youths who are self-directing, and are capable of transforming and making sound decisions for themselves founded on good Filipino values.
