The fruit of today is the seed of yesterday
By Jaykie Datinggalling
Student, Agusan National High School
Educators from Agusan National High School are highly respected for their expertise, patience, and love for their work.
Our teachers are always there to nurture our minds and guide our actions. Tirelessly, they plant seeds of knowledge and values in each and every one of us. Seeds which serve as our weapons as we face and embrace life’s challenges.
As mentors, the sacrifices they make and the responsibilities they have to fulfill are enormous. Sometimes, even during their spare time, they still do their duties as teachers. Many a times have I seen our teachers working late in school just to make sure that the class will get a worthwhile learning experience the next day. And many times also have we taken our teachers’ efforts for granted.
Our teachers may not be perfect but they are excellent. They do not let their flaws get in the way of their quest to excellence. I believe that their secret to being excellent is their willingness to improve themselves and their passion for being the best they can be.
I realized that what I am, what I know, and what my aspirations are today are mostly shaped and influenced by my teachers. After high school, I shall walk another path, overcome bigger challenges, and meet new people and mentors along way. But the wisdom and knowledge imparted by my teachers from Agusan National High School will always be the guiding voice that will stir me and keep me on the right track.
The seed has been planted and I will be the fruit.
