A One of a Kind Teacher

Have you ever had a teacher who cares for you like you are her own child? Have you ever had a teacher who makes learning fun and easy?

I can say that I’m one of the luckiest students in the world for I have had such a teacher.

Mrs. Carolina A. Curtina is one of the most popular teachers in our campus. She is well-loved by students and her co-teachers because of her cheerfulness and her thoughtfulness. She is like a mother to all of us. During our breaks, she’d remind us to eat well so we’d be able to do our tasks well. We truly appreciate her for this and all the thoughtfulness she shows us.

Another thing I like about Mrs. Curtina is she loves telling stories -- stories that are exciting and wonderful to hear. Through her stories, we learn plenty of things. I won’t forget her story about an empty can with a rock inside. We learned that like an empty can with a rock clanking inside it, a loud or boastful person is an “empty-headed” person. Mrs. Curtina also opened our minds to great novels like Heidi, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and many more.

Because of Mrs. Curtina, our learning experience is enriched. We learn to relate our class lessons to our everyday lives. We learn how to be disciplined and courteous students. We learn how to love our subjects no matter how difficult they can be. Because of Mrs. Curtina, a one of a kind teacher, we learn how to be the best person that we can be.
