My teacher, my inspiration
By Samantha Claire L. Lim
Student, Agusan National High School
Like our parents, our teachers are our guiding light and inspiration. They are the persons whom we can trust. We can share our joys and problems with them and we can always be sure that they will give us nothing but a good advice.
One of the people who inspire me the most is my science teacher, Mrs. Epefania R. Ajoc. I believe that she is one of the best teachers in Agusan National High School. She is sometimes strict but she is also very beautiful, sweet, kind, and supportive.
Mrs. Ajoc has a very sweet smile that makes her look more beautiful each day. Every time I see her smile, I feel inspired in learning about new things in school. Even if she gets stern with us sometimes, I know that it’s only because of our shortcomings. She cares about what we do and that is why she really teaches us how to be our best at all times.
Mrs. Ajoc always makes her students feel that she cares about them. She always reminds us of our goals in life and the things we have to do today so we can be successful in the future. She inspires us to be more studious.
One of the best traits I love about her is her being supportive. Every time our class would join a contest, she tells us to think positive and to believe that we can win. That inspires me whenever I join any school contest. To motivate us, she shares with us her personal experiences and how she had also overcome challenges and competitions. She encourages us to develop and be proud of our talents.
To tell you the truth, I really hated science classes before. I guess it’s because I did not enjoy my classes with my previous science teachers. But with Mrs. Ajoc’s classes, I learned to love science. Because of Mrs. Ajoc, I feel excited about discovering and learning new things not only about science but also about life. And with my teacher’s guidance and inspiration, I know that I will learn and succeed.
