Great Like A Rice Stalk

I have observed that as a woman reaches the height of her intellectual prowess, she also begins to acquire simplicity.

Such is my impression of my teacher.

Mrs. Lorna A. Falcon, my adviser and Science and Technology teacher, is a simple yet very outstanding woman.

Her friendly nature and sense of humor make any classroom alive and dynamic. Some people find her strict but I think she is a good disciplinarian --- honest and frank, kind and understanding.

A natural optimist, she always sees the good in every person. She sees beneath the surface and always brings out the beauty and truth in everything.

Ma’am Lorna is a very intelligent and talented teacher but she’s never proud. With humility and passion, she shares her knowledge to her students and imparts with them the best of what she has got.

Like a rice stalk, Ma’am Lorna bears and nourishes every grain, her students – the very grain that will grow and become the power of the vast field. Like a rice stalk, Ma’am Lorna is superior yet humble, wise and kind, simple yet truly great.
