How do I activate my International Roaming feature?
International Roaming Activation
This service allows you to use your SMART Gold celfone in over 150 destinations worldwide. With IR, you can stay connected while abroad, using the same phone number as if you were in the Philippines. No new numbers to give out or memorize.
Activating your SMART International Roaming
Your International Roaming (IR) feature has already been pre-activated, if you are under the following plans: Plans 3000 or 4000 (Consumable Plans), Plans 750 or 1000 (Privilege and Ultimate Plans), or Plans 1995 or 2665 or 3500 (Amazing Plans) or a Corporate subscriber. If you are under 1800 (Consumable Plans), Plans 1335 (Amazing Plan) or Plans 120, 160, 200 or 500 (Old Plans), just fill-out an International Roaming Agreement Form and submit it to any SMART Wireless Center. Once this done, your IR feature will be switched on permanently, free of charge.
If you are under Plan 500, 800 or 1200 of Amazing Plan or Plan 1200 and below of Consumable or Amazing Plan or Plans 40 or 80 of old plans, you are required to fill-out the IR Agreement Form and pay a non-refundable roaming deposit of TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PESOS (P2,500.00) prior to activation of the International Roaming Service. SMART reserves the right to credit the roaming deposit as payment to SMART Postpaid account in case the account becomes overdue or upon the subscriber’s request for deactivation of International Roaming Service.
If you roam in the U.S. or Canada, you must use a handset that operates in 1900MHz. Subscribers can rent such handsets at only P500/week. Just fill-out a handset reservation/rental form (handsets available are Bosh Worldphone or Motorola L-series). Handset reservation should be done three (3) days prior to departure.

SMART boasts of the most extensive Customer Service Network in the country. SMART Wireless Centers are "one-stop-shops" manned by trained professionals who handle billing inquiries, payments and various aftersales concerns. When visiting a SMART Wireless Center, a standard requirement that is needed for after-sales transactions is a standard ID to verify your identity. If transacting through a representative, he should be able to present his ID with signature and a signed authorization letter stating your specific request and your acceptable ID.
