1. What is ESG?

The Electronic Service Guide (ESG) is an on-screen guide for scheduled broadcast television programs, allowing a viewer to navigate, select, and discover content by time, channel, etc., by use of a phone keypad.

2. Can I still view all 10 channels in my existing Mobile TV subscription if I place a different SIM?

Initially, you can continue to enjoy 10 channels even if you use a different SIM, provided that it is a SMART SIM card.  Eventually the service will not allow this and only the authorized SMART SIM on the authorized phone will be able to watch Mobile TV.

3. Can I still be able to view my subscribed channels if I used a different DVB-H handset from my previous phone?

No. The rights granted to you are stored on the phone. You will need to request for a new subscription via ESG.

(Mobile TV → Options → Subscriptions → New Subscription → Channel pckgs → SmartBundle1 → Continuous → Verify).

4. What does Continuous subscription mean?

There are two variations of subscription available. One is the 30-day subscription  while the other is the Continuous subscription. The first one automatically expires after 30 days and users should manually trigger a new subscription if he wishes to continue enjoying Mobile TV. The latter is also valid for 30 days but the phone will automatically request subscription for the months to follow. No need to manually subscribe every month.

5. How can I maximize my screen during program watching?

To watch programs in full screen users may click Options Full screen or can simply click asterisk (*).

6. How can I view the upcoming programs of a specific channel?

Program line-up and corresponding schedule per channel may be viewed by clicking 'Programme Guide' in ESG.

7. What happens when I watch Mobile TV and receive SMS, MMS, voice or video call at the same time?

If you receive SMS/ MMS while watching Mobile TV, you will hear a beep alerting you that a Text/MMS is received but Mobile TV viewing will not be interrupted. If you wish to view the message, you need to exit to the Mobile TV application and enter 'Messages'.

When you receive a voice call while watching, the Mobile TV application will be minimized and the caller id/number will be displayed. If you accept the call, you can still see the video you are watching but the audio that you will hear will be that of the caller. You will automatically resume to the programme you're watching when the call ends.

If you're watching Mobile TV and a video call is received, the Mobile TV application will be minimized and the caller id/number will be displayed. When you answer the call, it will automatically exit Mobile TV and you will be able to view and hear the caller, just like the normal video call. If you wish to continue watching, you will have to enter the Mobile TV application again.

8. What happens if I reject an incoming video or voice call while watching Mobile TV?

"Program viewing will resume upon rejection of an incoming voice or video call."

9. What is Parental Control?

The N92 is designed to restrict certain channels from kids. Parents can set an age limit which the phone checks if a specific channel is allowed for viewing.

This is done by: Options → Settings → Parental Control →  (select the age).

Once it is set the restricted channel will promt a lock code if wants to be viewed. 12345 is the default key.

10. What is Replay?

N92 is capable of showing 30 second replays during Mobile TV viewing. The Replay function temporarily saves the last 30 seconds of the currently viewed program. It will be discarded after the specified time and will record the next 30 seconds. One cannot retrieve these temporarily saved videos. After watching the replay, the user has the option to return to the live broadcast.

11. Does the unit heat up when watching Mobile TV?

No. The unit does not heat up when watching Mobile TV because the phone, on Mobile TV mode, only receives TV signals. It does not transmit any information unlike in long voice calls where the phone needs to receive and transmit at the same time.

12. Is the audio quality of the Mobile TV the same as a voice call?

No. The audio of the Mobile TV program service is better than the audio of a voice call since it is in stereo format (Left & Right). The handset has dedicated speakers for Mobile TV functionality.
