Smart, Inmarsat inaugurate satellite gateway facility in Subic
[August 7, 2007/ Manila] - Leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) has partnered with global mobile satellite communications provider Inmarsat to broaden the geographic coverage of its SMART Link satellite phone service.
With the SMART -Inmarsat collaboration, the SMART Link prepaid wireless satellite phone service coverage area has expanded and will now initially include, India, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, Africa, and the Pacific Ocean.
The SMART services will be carried on the Inmarsat-4 F1 satellite, which supports both voice call services and data connectivity.
