Smart supports SCMAP Annual Conference and Exhibit

[September 20, 2007/ Manila] - Leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) supported the recently concluded the Annual Logistics Conference & Exhibit of the Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines (SCMAP).

Conference participants and exhibit guests were able to access their emails and surf the Web at the Smart booth, where PC stations powered by Smart’s wireless broadband service Smart Bro were available. Smart Bro is Smart’s high-speed broadband Internet service which uses the nationwide network of Smart to wirelessly connect computers to the Internet, even without a phone line.

The Smart booth also featured its newest brand new entertainment service from Smart subsidiary 360 media, myTV. With myTV, Smart scubscribers may now watch live television anytime, anywhere with their Digital Video Broadcast-Handheld (DVBH) cellphone. A lucky conference participant also brought home a 3G-capable Motorola v3x phone kit courtesy of Smart during the raffle held at the end of the first day of the conference.

Smart’s Mimi Agas, logistics head of Administration and Materials Management Division, delivered a speech during the conference, where she talked about the challenges faced and measures taken by Smart to address changing customer demands, resulting in a smoothly running supply chain to deliver the company’s products, and ultimately translating to excellent service to Smart customers.

The conference and exhibit, which gathers more than 250 logistics practitioners across the country, aims to serve as a venue for sharing the latest effective logistics technologies and management systems those companies may use to achieve better customer service.
