We believe in investing in our youth's future. And we leverage on our technologies, businesses, and people to helping shape education.
Recognizing the importance of education, Smart, together with parent firm PLDT and the PLDT-Smart Foundation, lined up several major community partnership initiatives in the field of education, particularly in promoting computer and Internet literacy. Combined with the spirit of employee volunteerism, we are "broadbanding" education -- the Smart way.

Smart Schools Program
The Smart Schools Program is the flagship community service initiative of Smart that promotes Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in basic education through an innovative, three-pronged approach: the set up of computer labs with broadband Internet connection, computer training of teachers, and local content generation for the school community.

SWEEP
The Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP) is a first-of-its-kind industry-academe partnership that seeks to enhance the level of telecommunications technology and engineering education among college students nationwide, particularly in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE).

Adopt-A-School
From literacy programs to participation in repairs and clean up of school buildings, Smart has been actively supporting the various projects of the Department of Education’s Adopt-A-School Program. What started out as employee-initiated projects have been adopted and integrated into the company’s program for education.
