Launched in 2003, the Smart Communities Program is the umbrella for Smart’s community service and employee volunteerism initiatives.
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Education is a major focus, particularly through Internet connectivity, generation of local content and technical knowledge transfer. In community building, housing and sustainable livelihood initiatives play a big role, especially in rehabilitating communities ravaged by disasters. During emergency situations, provision of crucial communication services is a priority. A growing concern for the environment prompted us to look for green solutions and alternatives in running the business.
