Rolando G. Peña

• Olan Peña was awarded Electronics and Communications Engineer for the year 2000 by the Institute of Electronics and Communications Engineers of the Philippines.

Prior to joining Smart in 1994, Peña was the First Vice-President in charge of Technical Operations of Digital Telecommunications Philippines, Inc. (DIGITEL). He managed the team that operated the Rural Telephone Development Program, giving the rural areas the much needed telecommunications services.

Peña is the president and CEO of Smart subsidiary Smart Broadband Inc. He is also a director of Wolfpac Mobile, Inc., Mabuhay Satellite Corporation, and Digital Paradise, Inc.
